2022 Occoquan Cup
Cornhole Tournament

Participate in the first ever Occoquan Cup Cornhole Tournament.  This is a double-elimination tournament for 2-person teams of all levels and ages that will take place in Occoquan's River Mill Park on Saturday, August 20, 2022, as part of the town's Discover Occoquan week of activities.  There will be awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and if you bring your own suitable cornhole board and bags you will receive a $5 rebate on the entry fee of $30 at the event.*

Rules

  1. The tournament will be double-elimination, with losing teams eligible to compete in an elimination bracket.

  2. Modified American Cornhole Association House Rules will apply.

  3. There will be two players to a team.

  4. Games are to 21 and employ house rules, meaning scoring does not cancel.

  5. Bags remaining on the board score 1 point; bags in the hole score 3 points.

  6. The team that scored in the preceding inning has honor of throwing first in the next inning.

  7. Bags must be thrown underhand.

  8. When throwing players must stand between the front and back of the board; there will be no restriction on the distance standing from right or left of the board.

  9. For adult players the foul line will be at the front of the board at a distance of 27 feet from the opposing board.  For junior players (12 & under) the foul line will be 15 feet from the opposing board.

  10. The judgements and interpretations of the rules by the organizer shall be final.

*Boards should be a minimum of 46" long and 23" wide and should be made of wood.  The organizer shall be the sole determiner of whether or not a board qualifies.  Boards and bags must be available for the entire event absent the permission of the organizer.
